In the said study, they specifically look at injury data from collegiate play. The researchers used the study population, data sources, and analytic methods to get the results that they needed. Moreover, they used the 507 000 girls' and boys' high school and 649 573 women's and men's college lacrosse athletic exposures using sport-specific injury surveillance systems over 4 seasons.
